I cannot imagine the WB without InfoShop Bookstore. They have such a good selection of books. The books in Spanish or French are very good and at very good prices. Probably everyone entered this place before entering the Bank. And continue to be a blessing to have it just around the corner.

The Infoshop is a beacon of important information and research amidst the maze of WB buildings. It provides crucial services for staff and visitors offering a collection of books and resources on development that answers individual needs as well as stimulates engagement in new areas. I agree that this is an unwise and ill-informed decision and should be reversed. This is just one more step towards being less informed and less connected with the larger development community.

Closing the Infoshop is insane! The Infoshop is the FACE of the World Bank in the USA. 1 city block and on the same street as the White House that receives 100,000 visitors per month and is the center point of the United States of America.

The decision to close the World Bank Bookstore is irresponsible and puzzling, to say the least. The store breaks even, books are important for World Bank staff and visitors, and the neighborhood benefits from having a local bookstore. Please do keep it open!

I was truly distressed to hear of this prospect. The InfoShop is the foundation of a vital, longstanding community of international experts, HQ and in-country Bank ambassadors, and thousands of others thirsting for knowledge about aiding the developing world and related subjects. Knowledge sharing is a stated goal and point of pride of WB. Closing the InfoShop would eliminate a critical international resource, would be detrimental to the morale of staff and the community, and would place the Bank in a poor, uncaring, and uninformed light.

This is part of a very important culture at the Bank and the face of who we are. I bring my children to this bookstore a lot and guests and clients as well. I would add more books than closing it.
