Apart from the practical, utility value and the marketing of our knowledge in the field of global development by practitioners, our bookstore (with its easily accessible location) is a landmark in a college, research and international government town. It reinforces our valuable global reputation as a Knowledge Bank

The WB bookstore is ahuge asset for Washington and for the WB. I love it. A wonderful choice of books and an excellent outlet for WB writing. Closing is a potentially serious

realize how big a mistake it would be?

While I only shop twice a year at the Bookstore, I would hope that closing would not be in the interests of not only the general public, but academics, universities, foundations, professional consulting companies. Much of the non-traffic into the bookshop could be attributed to a lack of marketing of the bookstore to other institutions, and organizations, as well as academics. Another approach is to provide all these books or documents from an office within the bank either in print or by email.

I had no idea this was coming! So much about the knowledge/sharing Bank. I just bought a hard copy of this year's WDR from there to send to an elderly family friend in Nigeria who eagerly looks forward to reading the flagship report every year. Perhaps this is a decision worth consulting the public about.

Pleasee keep the InfoShop open. It serves as a must-stop-by place for my foreign friends and visitors, and offers good collection if books and reports. Please reconsider the decision to close it. It will be a big disappointment for visitors that the WB cannot afford to have a decent

When you live abroad, away from the DC, there is only one bookshop where you can find all recent books on development economics as well as old classic books on development. It is a shame to close this bookstore. One more stubid decision by a managment whixh has lost its bearings.....

Whether living in DC or visiting, I've always personally found the Bookstore a joy for browsing and recognised it as part of the Knowledge Bank.If it cannot be retained, not even in a reduced version or different location , at least some proposals for maintenance of Online Bookstore Options?

I watch a senior citizen walk out of the Infoshop with books. It gave me pleasure. The Infoshop is the only face of the World Bank Group the public sees and can visit wthout an id. Please do not close

This book store has been most valued by many people from diverse countries and from US and WB staff. I myself bought a lot of books there and I appreciated the selection of books which you cannot find in other bookstores It is a pity to close it. It will be a loss.
