Please keep the bookstore open, even if you must reduce it size by up to 50%. The store is the only shop in D,C. for materials related to international development. I speak as a retired member of
USAID.

This is an iconic bookstore. Some of the changes in its operating model over the last few years seem to have hurt rather than helped. The operating model can be revisited, but there no reason to simply close this highly useful and much appreciated bookstore.

Infoshop is part of World Bank branding over the years! Has anyone in the Bank assessed the brandname value of Infoshop before proposing closing? Why do we need to cut things that have great value to both staff and clients?

The WB still attracts a wide array of visitors, including at the Annual and Spring meetings. This provides and important point of exposure.
Rather than close it, build on a good thing. Make it a showcase experience center for development related themes. There is lots of interactive media now, and the center could be a show that the Bank is not just cost cutting into dinosaurdom!
