The shop is a huge asset to the informed public and the only way to connect to many publications on a number of important, interesting and sometimes obscure topics. When I come to DC, I purposely book a hotel near this shop! Please keep it open.

This bookstore is a huge asset not only to Washington DC, but to the world at large! It is crucial source for international work and for play and the exchange of cultural ideas! This is a huge loss.

I left for Europe for one month, and see that the World Bank has gone ahead with its plan to purge the bookstore, a site which once encouraged international education and global outreach. If the WP cannot maintain its message at headquarters, how can it be effective in its regions?
This bookstore offered the reader books on important global subjects which made for thrilling reading and were absolutely necessary for the education of today's public.
Here were global viewpoints that would never be found in commercial bookstores. As a librarian and lawyer, I encourage the Bank to reopen this site to serve its enlightened purpose.

The InfoShop lets the public easily access the high-level work that the World Bank does. Keep transparency alive and keep the InfoShop open!

This is a serious retreat from the Bank's programme and purpose. For a great many the Bookshop is the first or only point of contact with the otherwise remote and unseen World Bank, the place where it's work and efforts are made manifest to a worldwide public coming to and/or passing through DC. Close it and you cut off the one real link you have to the public. Unwise.

The World Bank InfoShop is a landmark in downtown D.C. I know of many people who enjoy stopping by and browse the books. As a librarian I referred people outside the World Bank/IMF to the InfoShop many, many times. The World Bank InfoShop is the last bastion for the printed book downtown D.C. please keep it open.

The Infoshop is a contribution to DC. It's diverse/pluralistic and always excellent. This is a disservice by the World Bank.

This store needs to stay! A major city like DC needs a central bookstore representative of thought, diversity and multi-cultural humanity.

I have always considered this a gem of a bookstore, not only for WB publications but also for publications related to development and the world. I don't live in DC but like to go there every time i come through HQ. Please keep it open

Providing books in Burkina Faso is a worthy goal, but would be furthered by maintaining the World Bank's bookstore as a central brick-and-mortar source with the broadest collection of Bank publications.
