I am strongly in favor of keeping uniforms through middle school. Of the three divisions, it may be the one where a school uniform makes the most sense. Given that it would simply be a continuation of the lower school dress code, it will soon feel very natural that both the lower and middle schools have the same dress code policy -- as they once had in an earlier time.

Please keep the uniforms in place through at least 8th grade! I view them as important for both equity -- eliminates one way in which socioeconomic issues present -- and helpful at this stage of the girls development. Please consider making the change for 2019-20!

I completely support this. My older daughter is in upper school at Holton and in the mornings all she is thinking about is school...not clothes! I never understood this about NCS and I hope they keep the uniform for middle school!

Sabrina, I am so glad that you are a trouble maker for this! I agreed 100% on this and would really like uniform to remain in MS. The fashionista attitudes already started in 6th Grades & will be worst going forward. The beauty of Private School & esp a Christian School is the uniform & that is one of the reason I like NCS. I've seen how the MS girls are wearing during the morning dropped off & they were horrendous, I even seen flip flop & does not reflect the exclusivity of NCS. TQ for starting this petition & I hope the results will be in our favour.
