There is more than enough paved roads . Why do we need to pave the woods?

Please keep the trails soft. So wonderful to walk on.

They are trails not roads. Keep them old.

Asphalt is an unnatural surface to walk on. Some people prefer not to walk on paved surfaces due to the undue vibrational shock which created pain issues in the feet, knees legs and spine. I myself avoid paved surfaces for this very reason. Please leave the trails either natural or graveled.

No need for that. There must be a better use for the money - like making new trails.

Please leave it unpaved. Paved trails are ugly, not to mention hard to maintain because root systems come up through the asphalt and break it up.

It makes no sense to pave this trail. Bikes and strollers are already able to navigate this trail, so what would the reason be to do this?

Unpaved trails, if constructed correctly, offer a much lower cost to implement and maintain; many repairs can be done by hand. Stone dust (or similar) trails also offer a bit of permeability and reduction of stormwater runoff rates to nearby wetlands. Aesthetically, unpaved trails fit the natural character of the surrounding wooded area far better than pavement. The character of these trails is a hark to the classic New England cart paths that are found meandering through our forests.

Please keep the natural spaces, natural. They don't need to be paved. It ruins the natural feel of a walk in the woods.

Do not add paving to trails that give us a chance to get away from paving, packed trails better for surrounding area.

A packed stone dust surface is less expensive to build & maintain, and better for the surrounding environment. A paved path is not a trail...it's a road.

Paving stretches of woodland disturbs drainage for the trees nearby and takes away the feeling that you are in a natural setting.

Although I like riding my bicycle on a paved surface, leaving it unpaved will save a lot of money in terms of maintenance in the future and will be ecologically wiser.
