Those fireworks are amazing to see each year. Every year my family especially enjoys the "blowing up the beach", it is unique and exciting.

I've been going to the Water Frolics for over 30 yrs. It's a Tradition for our family. And the best part of the Frolics is Blow up the Beach.

Unfortunately I won't be going to the Frolics because of this. And as a fellow Lions member of another city it was a difficult choice to make but that's what it's come to.

my mother, of 78 yrs, just heard the ss frolics may be nearing an end. immediately saddened
, she began to share stories of her childhood. she remembers attending as a young girl in the 1950s, as a mother of 3 in the 60s, and many years of friends and family picnics, parades and of course laying on blankets for the grand finale fireworks. she summed the memories up with 2 words "family tradition"
leave OUR traditions in place to pass to other generations...not just memories to tell, but memories to share!

Blow up the beach is a standard tradition!! How could you take that away from us? If people move to the neighborhood, they already know there are fireworks once a year, and if those same people have a problem with it maybe they should do the moving.

Keep "blow up the beach". It's what draws the crowd and attendance. Take it away and watch the attendance decline.
