I have been bring family for the past 20 years. Just to see it. Its like nothing they have ever seen, and talk about for years after.

Can't take "BLOW UP THE BEACH" away. It' a tradition that should keep with the celebration of "THE 4TH OF JULY.

Blowup the beach is a trademark and one of the best parts of the south shore frolics. There is nothing like it which makes the water frolics not only a hidden gem but thee eat fireworks around! The kids look forward to it year after year as do I. I have not missed a frolics in my entire life.The parade was shrunk then cancelled keep the blow up the beach. You can not blame aggression Ina part of the fireworks. I can not understand how 2 nights ruins homes when this has been going on for years and there was never an issue. Maybe they could even raise more money by spending a little on putting temporary fencing up and having two entrances/exits and charge to get in? It also would deter the crowd. Have a marathon day run to the frolics. So much could be added as done and more $ could be raise. If you take away blow up the beach money may be lost due to taking away tradition many people may not come any longer because it will just be another firework display. Offer paid boat rides on the dock make it more of a family event- even though it already is. The people living in South Shoreare not new to this I am it understanding what the issue is now all of a sudden? Is it a plow to get them cancelled due to the demographics of the community has changed a huge deal through the years??? It starts there have a no tolerance policy vulgar behavior and you are removed. Have volunteer security walking te neighbor after the event to help beighbors....have a cmmunity meeting and the ideas will come rolling in!

I feel the South Shore Water Frolics fireworks should continue as they have been all these years. I've been going to the frolics for over 30 years now and I for one don't want it changed. I have taken all 5 of my children there from the time they were born and I'm continuing the tradition with my grandchildren, which I have 11 of now. It would be a shame if they couldn't get the same experience that me and my children got.

This entire situation is getting out of hand. If the surrounding neighbors don't like it-- just leave for the weekend!! It's been tradition for years now all of a sudden because a few people don't like it well that's to bad....Alderman Zielinski fight to keep the fireworks for everyone in the community.

I can't even believe this is being debated. I lived in bay view for 15 years only to move because I decided to move in with my girlfriend and her 4 boys. The frolics, and mainly, the fireworks is a tradition that we continue coming back to my beloved Bay View for every year.

This is a tradition that should not be stopped. With all the problems in the world with terrorist organizations and what they are doing, we are arguing over something fun like fireworks. Let's have some fun, again.
