Zielinski finally backed down and the fireworks will proceed with the grand finale exactly as planned. We forced them to respect our traditions despite their shady attempts to cut the show behind our backs. Keep your eyes sharp because we will be watching to ensure they do not try these …

We, the undersigned constituents of the 14th Aldermanic District, under Alderman T. Anthony Zielinski, demand the signature Friday and Saturday night's South Shore Frolics Fireworks display- including Grand Finale- As Is.

Aldeman Zielinski conducted a biased "majority rules" vote at the May 24, 2016 meeting eliminating the Grand Finale fireworks display, without proper notification to all of the 14th District Constituents.

By signing below you agree with the Bay View Lions Club, to keep the signature Friday & Saturday night South Shore Frolics Fireworks display As Is- including the Grand Finale. Which includes the "Blowing Up the Beach" and "Atomic Blasts"

Zielinski thinks he can silence us with his backroom deals but we are about to hit one hundred signatures. Keep pushing until he realizes he cannot just cut our grand finale behind our backs.

Blow up the beach is a standard tradition!! How could you take that away from us? If people move to the neighborhood, they already know there are fireworks once a year, and if those same people have a problem with it maybe they should do the moving.

I've been part of the Frolics for 33 years and 'blowing up the beach' is not only a tradition but separates these fireworks from all the rest. Without them they're subpar, like every other display. A few people complaining shouldn't ruin everyone else's memories to be made.

Love the finale! Wouldn't be the same without it. Plus the way it got cancelled wasn't fair. That wasn't the topic of the meeting. If it had been, there would have been a very different mix of attendees - including me!

I have been going to the frolics for 47 years. It's a tradition that ALL Southsiders look forward to every year. People who move into the area are warned if not familiar with the tradtion. Please don't let our fun tradition get placed into the deep past.

"Blowing up the Beach" is what makes the Frolics stand out amongst the other firework shows. They are the reason why we go every year. I guess we will be one less family spending money at the frolics, unless they allow the "Blowing up the Beach" finale of the show.

There needs to be a better vote I for one look forward to BLOW UP THE BEACH I was there when I was 12 yo 40 years ago and have taken my kids now grandkids just for that. Lived here all my life and it should be a vote for the whole area not just the ones that voted
