Over the next few weeks, I and my group are going to be campaigning to keep the school leaving age at 16. This topic is recognised across the UK and lots of people have different and strong views about it whether to keep the age the same or they agree with the scheduled increase to 18, set to be enforced in 2013. Over the last couple of weeks we have been researching into the pros and cons of leaving school at aged 16 and have come to our own conclusion that we feel that it is not necessary to change it. We have discovered all of the things that are available to 16 year olds once they reach that age, such as being able to get married, leave home with parental consent and consent to sexual activity. We feel that these changes are unnecessary although we still take into account the good things that can come from it.

KIDS ARE READY AT 16 TO START THEIR LIVES. Stop forcing them to stay when they could be getting experience or helping their families out.

not every kid is built for sitting in a classroom until they are 18. some people need to get out and start working or learning a trade. let them have the choice.
