You will be ruining the most beautiful land I have ever seen. I’m originally from Minnesota, I’m not sure if anyone has been there but it is nothing but flat land. I fell in LOVE with the landscape out at Lamoille Canyon, my family goes out there almost every weekend, we adore the beauty in the nature, I feel as if this would be a big mistake and take away from the natural beauty that Lamoille Canyon has always been known for.

My family recently welcomed my niece. She is the first of a new generation. She deserves to enjoy the Ruby Mountains and all public land the way that we have for our entire lives. Nevada has the extremely rare quality of being very untouched and to ruin that for a ski resort that won't be able to operate with the snow we get is a shame and wasted opportunity.

This is a botanical area and will file wildflower and natural destruction petition. As a Native American this area is also a sacred area. Archeological survey has not been completed for this area. Four generations of my family have enjoyed this area besides my Native family. This is another monopolistic power grab by one group who does not represent all the people of or valley .

Have there been any environmental studies done to show the impact on wildlife and their migratory paths, vegetation and how that will be affected which will impact wildlife. What about water? Our water tables are low as it is. Traffic? And why would a private lodge need 5 chair lifts? And what did they promise the county commissioners if they voted for this?

We do not have infrastructure or water for this. No ski development in the Rubies, please, even if it is on private property.

There isn't enough water to sustain a ski resort!

As a Spring Creek resident, I am signing because this approval directly contradicts the Open Space (OS) district intent. Five mechanical chair lifts and short-term lodging are clearly 'fixed improvements' and 'commercial activities' prohibited in this district. We are a residential community, not a destination resort, and I already pay way too much for water and HOA fees as it is. It is irresponsible to divert our critical groundwater for a luxury development that will strain our resources and drive locals out of their homes. I urge the Commissioners to prioritize residents over a developer’s private interests, uphold our established county codes, and grant the appeals.

The Ruby Mountains are sacred and should be left natural. How can anyone look at the wildlife and the pristine landscape, then decide to develop it for personal gain. It is sickening and extremely upsetting to the people who actually live here. Unlike the developer, who lives in San Francisco. Once land is developed, it's never the same. This land and wildlife should be protected, as well as the livelihood of neighboring ranchers and the importance of these mountains to the local Tribe and to the surrounding community.
