my son played there all his life and at age 23 is still playing. the rink is the best rink in all of NY what a shame to remove it

I was fortunate to be a part of two very special events at that rink. The first was the "Grand Opening Game" which featured my Bauer Cyclones Tournament Team vs The Staten Island All-Stars. It was memorable because of the great job the owners of the rink did to cater the event and spread the word of the new facility. The second event, and the one I take more pride in then any game I ever played in was done the week following the tragic events of 9/11. Again, the owners wanted to find a way to help, and we played my Bauer Cyclones squad vs The N.Y. Nightmare Tournament Team. The event raised over $5,000.00 for the families of the victims of 9/11. My point is that in the best of times and even in the worst of times this rink has served as a pillar of the community for well over seventeen years now. The youth who play here today will be making some of the best memories of their lives, just like the players who graced that rink before this crop of players were even born. It would be horrible to tear down a rink with so much great history and future potential for more. I hope you reconsider!!

How could you close the last inline rink in staten island? The rink has finally been redone after all the years of waiting and now close it.. Manor road hockey rink gives young kids a place to learn the game of hockey and stay out of trouble. I have played at this rink since it opened, it holds many memories for all who grew up and still play there. Please keep this rink open!

Dont touch it.. staten island needs more place for kjds to play skate.. n learn the great game of hockey.. dont ley the greedy fucls take our rink aways please

This rink is part of a long close knit hockey community right in our own backyard. It needs to stay !!

I Have played at that rink since I'm 14 years old and still play to this day. It's the only rink of its kind around. We would never see a rink like this again in our lifetime please help save one of the gems we still have left on this island.
