Keep the Preseli Mountains open for Paragliding

Paragliding does no harm to the landscape, causes no pollution, is silent and doesn’t harm animals.It would also be economically beneficial to the area.

No issue with paragliding, providing the individuals are experienced and take care not to cause any distress to animals in situ.

I fully support this form of recreation in North Pembrokeshire. I see minor downsides but the benefits are enormous. Maybe recreational zoning or management should be sought.

Paragliding in the Preseli’s should not be banned. It’s a fantastic way to appreciate the landscape and completely eco friendly.

Keep flying. Just a few grumps discouraging fun, tourists to Preseli and helping the local hospitality businesses and shops.

Interesting this, I wonder if it's to do with them claiming subsidies for sheep they don't have. We promise not to count your sheep and grass you up to Brussels.

Would like to see the evidence on the harm this sport does to animals!!

Bloody rediculous banning paragliding over the hills. Far too many dodgy handshakes invoved.

It is essential to keep the adventure sports industry growing. It is a huge benefit to the local economy

Crowdfunding to raise monies to fight this? I would gladly contribute, but seemingly can not be appealed?

Keep them flying , much to old to do it myself , but do like to watch them while walking .

Bizarre. Do they actually know what paragliding entails?

I consider the existing ban on paragliding to be an anti-social abuse of power, detrimental to locals and tourists alike, and having no basis in genuine hardship experienced by the small group of farmers / horseriders. Frankly, it underscores the view of mot people in the county that there is an elite, introspective, group of snobs behind it, spoiling the pleasure of many just because they can.

This is a fully eco freindly sport which will bring income to the county, it is ridiculous to ban. Noisy Drones are alllowed pretty much everywhere up there and apparently that’s ok, why??

Who banned it? Keep flying folks.

The right to roam should be extended to the right to fly!

Please rethink this decision to ban paragliding on the Preselis. It brings tourism to the county and is environmentally friendly

Poor show Pembrokeshire Parks and land owners, you know the science and ecology that make the area what it is. Grazing sheep and animals are part of that management plan, paragliders do not graze and trample, especially in boggy areas where some of the more sensitive areas of SSSI. Come on and get on board with other land owners and managers who understand, co-operate and work with Paragliding Schools and clubs. The Paragliding community respect and work with and not against land owners and their management plans / farming practice. There are sites we don’t access during lambing season.
