Keep the original cast in the Northern Exposure Revival!

loved the show. Just the way it was.

The character of Maggie O'Connell is essential to any reboot you could do of Northern Exposure. She was the impetus to Fleischman's angst and the ultimate catalyst to his transformation. She needs to be in the reboot of the show and so do the other original cast members. These beloved characters with their wacky humanness put the 'exposed' in Northern Exposure.

The original cast would be a major reason to watch. And, it's the right thing to do.

I was shocked to hear that some of the original cast might not be included. This is the selling point for whether or not I will watch. The original cast made the show so beloved to fans and brought the magic to each episode.

They'd better not dumb it down to appeal to "today's audience", they need to maintain the philosophy, the wit, and the wisdom. In these days, we're in desperate need of intelligence in American television and this show provided that in abundance.

Please keep as many of the original cast members as possible! They, along with the superb writing, are the magic of the show. Without them, what's the point?

Please don't let us down. Your fans (and your cast) are depending on you!

Can't have NX without Maggie (Janine) and Joel (Rob) to get to the string to the point it almost breaks. Their banter was one of the key points of the show. Just wouldn't be the same.

The reason I loved Northern Exposure was the cast. The ORIGINAL cast. I want to know what happened to them and see them interact again. I don’t want to see a younger group. Please listen to your audience and keep the original cast!

I can understand that the show would feature a mostly new cast (perhaps including the progeny of previous characters) but we still need the connection to the original show which means some of the original cast members even for occasional episodes. A new beginning needs more than a one-character association to its past.

The characters and their rich diversity is what made the magic of the show. Without them the magic is gone.

Maggie is essential as a regular. So is Ed. We need to see all the originals at some stage and know what they are doing with their lives. No Maggie, no NX.

If a reboot is to happen at least keep as much of the original cast as possible. Listen to the fans!

After waiting hopefully all these years, the news that none of the original cast, aside from Rob Morrow, would be cast in the reboot of Northern Exposure, is beyond disappointing. Rob’s departure from the original show in order to pursue movie fame was his personal choice. He bailed, and the rest all stayed and made the best of it to the end. Now this is how they are rewarded? Not appreciated by this fan from day 1.

Please include all original cast possible. The show was based on the interaction of the ensemble. Without every available cast member, it'll just be another failed reboot. You can't make the show all about Joel. And who knows what kind of chemistry a new group will have. You want the original fans, don't you?
