One thing that we have going for us is tradition. When I see the traditional Seminole head logo it gives me goosebumps. It reminds me of the late 80s with Simmons, Butler and Sanders, it reminds me of the 90s with Ward, Dunn, Warrick. Please dont go to this new logo. Ive been a Noles fan all of my life and this logo stands for tradition.

The new logo is terrible. Please consider Jodi Slade's illustration. It addresses the concerns that the athletic department has, but maintains the traditional face.

I am extremely disappointed with the university's decision to change the logo. I will not ever purchase merchandise with this logo, and will not wear any bought for me! This new logo is a disgrace to our history and traditions.

Why would you have someone from Nike, who didn't go to FSU, update the logo? Why would you not ask the student body or alumni to submit their designs and take a vote? Involve the people this affects! If you have to update the logo use Jodi Slade's update!

With the timing of this, I first thought it might be a bad April Fool's joke that had gone viral. Sadly, that does not appear to be the case. I just fired off an email to Elizabeth Maryanski, the vp of university relations, who has been quoted in various stories. I'm not a happy Nole at all..
