Countless times, cars fly through that light north and south when the light is red. I’ve seen 2 accidents there, and I’m shocked no one has been seriously hurt. Keep the light AND patrol it more frequently. If necessary add the light at the new development but keep this one. Anything that slows traffic on this part of Hopmeadow is smart.

Removing an existing stop light will pose a danger to those who rely on traffic control to enter or leave their community. This light should remain.

100% disagree with the decision to remove this light. Making a left turn onto rat 10 will be extremely dangerous.

Taking this light away puts many lives in danger and should not be allowed to happen.

Removing this traffic light will potentially increase chance of car accidents. And we have a lot of families with children around this area. This traffic light must stay. 127 Old Canal Way

Light provides safe egress when leaving for work and taking children to school.

The traffic light, as presently situated, is necessary due to very poor visibility/viewing distance to the left as you are facing the Route 10 light from Old Canal Way. Numerous families with children rely on this light to allow them safe access out of Old Canal Way. There is no other egress. Removing the light will lead to an accident with the fast moving traffic on Route 10.

It will be very dangerous to make a left turn if there is no traffic light. Not only the entrance is in the middle of a curve which makes it difficult to see oncoming traffic, the trees and bushes blocking the view doesn't help either, and traffic speed is to high to make the turn. School busses will have a difficult time with that too.

Don’t move lights just add another set. Families need the light to get out of canal way!

The light should stay as it becomes difficult to see on both the directions due to the curve. Atleast an All-way STOP sign is needed if that solves the problem.

The light is very much required at the crossing and without that it will be dangerous specially with road of 45 MPH speed rating.

Going south on rte 10 is a small curve prior to Old Canal Way, creating a blind spot for people exiting the street.
