Having read the history of the Balfour, it is inconceivable that its successor can have any other name. No one on Orkney has done more for the healthcare of Orcadians than James Balfour. Too often history is cast aside for bland, generic titles.

We need to be sensible, the new hospital is going to replace the old, as the old replaced the original, so the name must stay.

There is no need whatsoever to change the name. Keeping "The Balfour Hospital" name means keeping continuity and care simpler. Please let common sense prevail.
