Why change the traditional name?

BALFOUR HOSPITAL HERE TO STAY

The Balfour hospital name is of an iconic Orcadian historical importance. To change this name I feel would strip Orkney of its heritage and tradition. Orkney is forever changing and evolving however I feel that the hospital name symbolises so much more to the people of Orkney. Losing this name will mean losing tradition and respect for orkneys past.

If it ain't broke......... Don't fix it

I trained as a nurse at Balfour Hospital and would feel very disappointed if the name of the new one changed its name - stay with tradition!!

Keep history alive, should always be known as "the Balfour" .
