This was a very poor decision made by the administration to have renovations collide with the graduation this year. It also shows that the administration does not have the respect and the consideration for the students, by not delaying the renovation of the tracks. The only reason the location of the graduation have to change should be due to the weather.

It would be nice to have the graduation at MHS Football and Track stadium - weather permitting. I believe the renovation schedule can be pushed back a few weeks

We were flabbergasted when we heard the plan to have inside graduation because of track renovations. It sounds like misguided priorities (track or football over graduation) as well as poor planning. We had invited family from Ohio months ago to the graduation. We really don't want them to watch it on a screen in an overflow room. They already watched the UMS Promotion Ceremony in the MHS gym. Please plan on keeping their MHS graduation outside unless it rains!

When my daughter told.me just before the email went out, I was disappointed. I have to choose who's can come?? Please keep it outdoors!!

I have seen and been to a high school graduation in the gym before as one of the 50 or so performing musicians. It was extremely cramped on the bleachers as well as the floor, because the gym really only has enough space for the graduating students, and they had to squeeze the band to the wall. It was extremely chaotic when the families and friends started leaving, and the band program almost lost some valuable percussion equipment. The class of 2017 should not be forced into this kind of situation where their loved ones may get hurt because of the limited space, all because renovations couldn't happen during summer break.
