Keep RCMP in Melita. Too long response time from Virden in an emergency!!

I am concerned for the safety of my parents as well as all other seniors in Melita if this service is removed. A sure way to encourage this segment of the population to retire elsewhere.

We pay for police presence in our town taxes and we have a perfectly good detachment office in our town which is actually a more central location to the other areas they need to patrol. Virden is big enough to support and pay for police presence. All our little towns are in need too and are already paying. Not fair and quite frightening.

Don't let them go we have very little police in deloraine any more and shows in many ways fight it with every thing you have

This is ridiculous. I had been told by a memeber quite a while ago about this was a consideration. Had thought they had decided not to. Very dire for everyone living south of #1 highway. We have been centralized with healthcare and that did nothing for us. We can not loose our policing.
