I work for The Literacy Lab, a nonprofit which places full-time tutors in preschools and elementary schools. Unfortunately, we can't close the gap for every student. However, MMYC has facilitated high school completion and workforce readiness for underserved youth for the past decade. We've had several successful tutors who are either student or AmeriCorps alumni of MMYC. I hate to see this resource for our local youth go!

Help everyone succeed in life people want to talk more about unproductive people and how they don't contribute to society. Help the ones that do that want to be someone and help the society. Shoot you never know from this program many people who in the future may be very important can evolve from this program.

This is ridiculous. We have limitless funding for prisons, but not a pathway for success for the youth?

I support MMYC
It is critical to provide more than politically correct conversations on the backs of those most impacted by political in action. Either bring back the funding or boldly proclaim that Montgomery County safety net is selectively inclusive.

I've seen LAYC transform the lives of many youth in the short time I've worked in DC. Please support in keeping our Maryland sites operational and transformational!

This program is seeded in the community and youth come not only for training but feel part of a community. This program is bilingual and needs to continue. Don't give it to a FOR PROFIT that doesn't know the community.
