My favorite thing about living in a small town is being out and about and running into people I know :) It makes me feel like I made the right choice in where I chose my community! And the parklett on the square just exemplifies that! Enjoying a margarita under the stars and saying hi to neighbors and friends and strangers that are about to become friends... so special!
I also love that it's encouraging of pedestrian-friendly downtown growth that I see and love in other small Texas towns! I really hope it gets to stay.

I love sitting there! The parklet builds community. As we Austinites ate dinner with a group of people from Lockhart, many acquaintances and friends stopped to chat. A lively fun outdoor space also contributes to public safety and feeling safe.

I think the parklet at Little Trouble is a great addition to our downtown community and to our main street environment. The service it is giving to the overall asthetic and vibrant energy of downtown is far more valuable than what you will get from the two parking spots it occupies.

This is a great use of the parking spaces to enhance the downtown environment and allow for additional outdoor seating for the restaurants in the area. Please leave the parklet in place and look for other locations in downtown Lockhart with similar opportunities to expand comfortable outdoor seating locations.

It adds vibrance, is not a bad use of space. Why get rid of it? (Although I worry at San Antonio speeders.)
Given the track record of these entrepreneurs, giving more leeway than not, giving the benefit of the doubt I think, is warranted and builds a better business environment. We want more of such creativity, not less. Good luck.

at Little Trouble. We own several Airbnb’s and this space gives our guests outdoor seating options.
