Keep the LINC Program at Vancouver Community College

Allow more time for a transition for the people already here to help them make choices for a better life for themselves and their families, but also for their community and Canada.

Programs like the LINC at VCC are extremely important the successful integration of newcomers to Canada. It's imperative for the Ministry to extend LINC programming at VCC.

What have higher levels to do with fewer immigrants coming in to Canada? They need language classes too.

The linc courses are very helpful for all those new comers. It helps new comers to settle their home in Canada easily. I am one of the beneficiaries of this program.

The government should take full accountability in supporting newcomers through Canadian immigration policies. Cutting the budget for VCC LINC, one of the most impactful institutions for helping newcomers in Canada, should be the last option to consider.

If we are allowing people to come to Canada we must give them the tools they need to succeed.

Extend LINC programming at VCC for another fiscal year.

LINC has been an invaluable opportunity for my senior newcomer parents, helping them feel more at ease as they build their new lives in Canada. To better support the integration of new immigrants into their new home, the government should consider expanding this program rather than reducing its budget.

The LINC program is essential for newcomers to Canada to have the language skills to have success in community and the workplace, and by slashing services you are preventing newcomers from developing agency and becoming successful contributers to the Canadian economy. You can't plant a garden and not water or fertilize.

LINC has been supporting many newcomers working hard to build their lives in Canada. Without LINC it will be difficult to find success in their personal and professional lives.

LINC is the best program for new comers and helps us not only improve our English level, but also get to know more about Canadian Culture and everything about Canada faster!

The LINC program is invaluable to the newcomers who enrol. It is so much more than an English language program. It's a settlement program where students learn the skills to function in their new country.
