St Marys hospital will be completely overwhelmed in days if we let everyone over from the mainland. leave it closed until this is actually over.

My parents are both elderly and live in Ryde. Why should they have to risk their lives just so some tourists can have a holiday? Madness.

We must NOT reopen to visitors and in that way open the floodgates for a deluge of infections being brought over by tourists, second home owners and those seeking a quiet place with less infections than nationally. Pulling up the drawbridge is exactly why we are doing well! The island has a larger than average elderly population making them more likely to be vulnerable and at risk. We do not want to be an MP’s guinea pig! Our small hospital and wonderful but overworked staff could not cope with the sort of major crisis this insane idea would bring. Please everyone say NO!!

The well-being of the residents should be just as much of a priority as well-being of the residents in other U.K. destinations. It is outrageous that this would even be considered.

Only way to stop the spread is to eliminate possible community spread. Protect your citizens, people matter.
