The name Indian evokes bravery, honor, resourcefulness , loyalty, families. This is a respectful nod to a culture that needs to be honored and remembered.

Please keep the Indian mascots for anything pertaining to Indianola. I feel it’s a tribute to the native Americans who have history in our region. The town’s name is obviously reflective of Indians. Let’s own it and be proud of our heritage.

This is action is nothing more than showing that the voice of the people is silenced by those in power. A handful of people were able to dictate the representation of an entire community.

In signing this I am afraid it won’t matter what we think the damage is done. Removing the Chief head removed from our police cars

I don’t like all these changes a lot of it is history. And don’t like people who they think they can change any thing that comes along.

Indianola is my hometown and I grew up here with pride of our athletic teams and just being a Indianolian. It is so ridiculous that. Our emblem A native American. Cheif .our pride at anything but respect and that its not. Right display.
