There should be some options in Lieu of destroying the grass and trees what is the cost to maintaining the green grass? Has that been proposed to the the residents ?
How about creating a space with drought resistant plants and vegetation area woth hiking paths, Creating a community vegetable garden.
Or possibly even a dog park? Or all the above it’s a large space. We as a community should be exercising our right to entertain the above even if it’s at a cost at least we know all our options allowing the voices of our residents.

Why would you destroy something so beautiful in our neighborhood?! We pay an HOA Fee therefore our vote should matter.

Just moved here and walked the green belt today, was sad to see it all brown. I know our kids would love the grass if it were green

There is not a good reason to remove the green belt. It would take away the beauty and the common space that so many people enjoy. In the world today, we need more beauty!

This is terrible. If I purchased a home on this green belt, I would be consulting a lawyer since the HOA is devaluing my property with this move.
