KEEP POLITICS OUT OF THE GAME!

The Argentina national football team (Selección de fútbol de Argentina) canceled its friendly game in Israel, under violent threats of Anti-Israel activists and propaganda.

Sport is one of the best things in our world, it has a special power to connect people from different cultures, bridge differences and create common ground.

As teenagers from Israel who love and enjoy football, we were super excited about the game, having players we know and love from both teams on one field, but sadly it seems that something went wrong along the way.

Sport is NOT supposed to be a tool for political nastiness. Sport is a tool to create a better future and shared language we all love and understand.

We all should stand against this cynical use of sport.

We call you to open your minds to see the whole picture and not to surrender to threats and calls for boycott.

PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION If you really care about sports and against hate and incitement.

Reaching two hundred and fifty signatures serves as a reminder that many people believe sports should remain independent from political interference. It is heartening to see this many individuals recognize the need to shield our games from external pressures and threats.

I filling that my country is always getting heart by Palestine! The world don’t get what they doing to us... it’s not okay that they let people feel bad or the fact that they threatening on people’s and let them scared because they want to come and have fun with the Israel’s people?!! When I heard about that Messi and his group will not come it was so disappointment , I hope one day everyone will understand the situation! And everyone will live in peace

Please reschedule the game - IN Israel - at the earliest convenience. I know it's scary and horrible to be threatened by the other side... but come see for yourselves what Israel is like.

The threats against Argentina and Messi were not sportsmen like and based upon disinformation and politically motivated propoganda. The world including the media needs to stand for the truth in order to end the hatred.

Please do not give in to the politics of hate and anti-semitism. BDS is all about both of those things. We here in Israel have always offered our hands in peace and have been rejected by the Palestinians after offering them a state with part of Jerusalem as their capital. But now they are trying to blackmail your country by saying they will sabotage your World Cup hosting. Doing what’s right is often the hard thing to do. Say YES to coming to Israel and see for yourself our multicultural country of acceptance.
