Pier fishing has always been part of the facilities on the pier and the tackle/bait shop is a welcome business providing necessary equipment, bait and local knowledge of the state of the pleasure fishing news and advice. Please do not stop fishing on the pier and deprive Arran of his livelihood.

Piers are our history. Full public access. Fishing from them is our history. Full public access. Many children fish from piers and start a lifetime of Angling. That included me.

Why would anyone even think of closing this place!!!! Its part of the pier. Part of the community!!!! Such grate times there. Meet some grate people. So so wrong !!!

the tackle shop before A&T took over never did half as much as Aaron does.. and did nothing (to my knowledge at least) for charities. Its a no brainer as to whom id have back at A Tackle Shop at the end of pier. there will be uproar if the sheikh bans fishing from the pier. a unwelcome piece of publicity i think...

It would be an absolute travesty for the tackle shop owner and pleasure angling community of Eastbourne if the new owner of the pier was to remove the use of angling as it brings welcome income and joy to many. After all fishing is the largest participant sport in Britain.

I'd be interested to know his reason behind the decision. Not enough money in it for him I guess

Don't let it be closed to anglers it would be a great shame as it has been fished for many many years.
