Unfortunately living miles away in Hertfordshire prevents me from visiting Eastbourne pier to fish as often as I would like. How ever a few times a year I make the trip and have got to know Arran and the team well. They are always happy to help with advice and bait when we fish the pier. They even set up my new reel for me when I visited earlier. It would be a great shame to loose this fishing venue at it is part of the local community, all the people I have met there have been very welcoming and friendly, give them the opportunity to keep up the great work.

Good luck to the new owner getting yachts to moor there. That's what the harbour is for. The end of the pier is hardly Monaco or the south of France. Sometimes it's the little things that people come back for not delusions of grandeur! More people fish than own yachts.

I travel from north London to fish here. No fishing on the pier and the area looses my expenditure.

Fishing is out national sport, sea coase or game. We need to preserve for the future kids getting into the sport. Don't close the fishing on this or any other pier!!!!!

starting fishing on the pier 21 years ago when i was 10, still fish today the pier is what got me started. would be a travesty to get rid of. SAVE THE FISHING.

You can't close the pier to angling, I caught my first sea fish of the pier in Eastbourne, whilst on holiday at family whom live in Eastbourne, I return year upon year to fish at Eastbourne
