The biggest participation sport in the country let's not reduce where people can fish.

Piers are made for fishing off. Do they really want to deprive the fun that young people have when they learn to fish and catch their first fish. We lost our Pier. I don't blame you for doing everything in your power to keep yours.

It is a tradition that belongs with the pier, and is part of Eastbourne's history. Please keep it's character, and allow enjoyment for all. Why destroy a local business?

to cease fishing activity on the pier would result in a drop of revenue not only for the local tackle shop but the pier aswell, Piers are seen as a very social and relaxing atmosphere to be in, friendly for kids and adults alike, would be folly to close it down, more job losses more ppl out of work, livelihoods lost and another traditional mark lost to the throes of stupidity

Fishing at the pier is a harmless venture that creates employment and helps folks to unwind having worked hard of a week. Please don't shut this place of fishing down, as many people take much joy from here.

Outrageous. Arran has done a lot for charity over the years as well as enabling a popular sport and business to continue. I would have thought that the Sheikh being the man he professes to be, would have seen the bigger picture.

Save the fishing area! It is like a cultural area where many of people have fished for many of years! For what is actually going to be left in the pier they may as well just not re-build it.

Please don't shut down the fishing. My own memories and that of the young adults I take will not be able to be passed on. It's a skill, a hobby and for some the start of a vital career that help feed us. There is room for fishing alongside whatever else you plan Mr Lions

Fished their when I was a kid, live in London now and took my boy for a afternoon fish. Bought back some lovely memories, please keep it going!!!!!
