Keep the Farmland in Nashotah

I live on the Oconomowoc side of Upper Nashotah Lake. Even though I do not have a Nashotah address I am greatly impacted by what happens on this land.

I grew up in this area and went to Nashotah grade school years ago. I believe strongly in preserving open farmland.

Please keep our farmlands. There is enough development in lake country!

Please don’t sell the land. Keep it as farmland.

I grew up in the lake country and moved away to Colorado several years ago. I just moved back and choose the Nashotah area because of the gorgeous farm landscape, wide open views and plethora of sweet wildlife (I just encountered 2 tiny fawns on my drive home on Mission Rd. last night). We choose our home next to the farm based on what we understood was going to be preserved open space. In the area our home was in Colorado, open space was a gem and a gift provided by forward thinking lawmakers of the ‘70s that had the foresight to envision a more populated area in the future and how to keep the serenity of the area. Now, those Colorado small towns that had designated open space are considered some of the most attractive places to move to in the country. Our decision to relocate back to this area was ultimately decided upon by providing our 1 and 3 year old sons a slower pace of life, proximity to their grandparents, wide open countryside and farms, and generally the friendliest and most considerate people. The beauty and serenity of the lake country has continuously drawn me back over the years and I have to say I would feel heartbroken to lose this piece of land to a potential developer, and I don’t want to roll the dice and see what happens.

This area would not be what it is with these farms. People from near and far cherish these farms. A farm is what it should remain!

Keep the farmland. No further development desired.

Please keep the farm. We are losing too many on a daily basis.

let them keep their animals!!! the farmers of wisconsin are the ones that produce to food and the resources you need. the kids of these farms are the ones that will be making the food and finding new ways to help you live longer. we need our farmers. do NOT shut them down. i myself am a farmer and i support them all the way.

This is Wisconsin. Please be considerate of Wisconsin farmers.

Please keep this beautiful farmland undeveloped

Adopt the same revised ordinance as Delafield.

Stop removing our farm land and building more condos! Look what's happening to Oconomowoc. NO!!!!!!

Leave the natural habitat alone!

Do the right thing and rescind the ordinance.

The beauty and serenity of the lake country has continuously drawn me back over the years & I have to say I would feel heartbroken to lose this piece of land to a potential developer, and I don’t want to roll the dice and see what happens. You cannot reverse history. I say, let’s do all that we can to come together as a community preserve this open space!

Please listen to the people, Nashotah, and keep farmlands preserved!
