Keep the Farmland in Nashotah

My sister and her family's property borders this farm land. We all would be extremely disappointed to see the land developed. Please keep the farmland!

Please consider changing the ordinance and saving the farm land.

I think the residents should be happy Mr Gehl does not convert this farmland to a Pig farm to generate internally the manure for fertilizer. You don’t know stink till you’ve been around a pig farm. If he wanted to be nasty I believe he could do this. There’s that old saying, “cheer up, things could be worse “.

Saving and preserving farmland around my hometown (hartland) and current residence in summit is one of my absolute top concerns. I'm a donating member of tall pines conservancy and waukesha county land conservancy. Farms are not only beautiful to have nearby but provide necessary homes for insects, mammals, birds, snakes, etc. They also absorb water a lot better than a concrete jungle. It truly breaks my heart to see beautiful multi generational farms disappear forever. Farmland is also necessary for all the things we consume as people. Wear a cotton Shirt today? Thank a farmer and his field. Eat steak? Thank a farmer and his field. More developments and people and less farmland to support those people doesn't make logical sense. Keep lake country beautiful, rural, and a productive food basket.

I am grateful to live on a piece of Gehl land that abuts Delafield homes. The beautiful view and conservancy values were influential in purchasing our property. Please consider preserving the unique aspect of living in Lake Country... please work to keep the Gehl land farmland and not up on the auction block for more large homes. Think forward, and find compromise to correct what was probably a 1 time series of mistakes.

I do not live in Nashotah currently, but grew up in Lake County and am hoping to have my son grow up there as well. It breaks my heart to have watched so many farms turn into subdivisions over the last 30 years.

After 31 years I am moving home to the area and looking forward to leaving the congestion of Metro-Detroit behind. This farm is truly a treasure that must be protected.

I am from Chicago and when I visit my folks it’s a beautiful drive into town and why would you build on land that beautiful. Save farmland!!

I grew up in the area.

Please keep the farmland. We drive past it everyday to work and enjoy there is no development or housing. We like see wildlife and sunsets. There is no need for further housing subdivisions in this area. That’s why people enjoy living where it’s quieter. Hey C needs no further traffic either!

Let’s keep some farmland and open space in Nashotah!

This Farm has been here longer than any of the people that have complained of the manure odor which to me is the smell of the country. If you don’t like the smell of living in the country simply move to the polluted city.

Please consider changing the ordinance and saving the farm land.
