The commissioners were given picture I took at the last time the Beaver River flooded with waves shooting to the height of the dam. Boat rescue for the mill workers could not happen in those waves. This is also a valuable bridge that could be used as an access for future walking trails. People who walk the new bridge end up on the highway now with no side walk to protect them on the New Brighton side.

I took pictures to the commisioners of the river at flood stage showing the impossible task or recsuing the workers at the mills during a flood. We need that bridge at the very least for foot traffic! Put it to a vote.

You just spent thousands of dollars repairing the bridge a few years ago only to say that 'it's rotting away'. Our tax dollars should be spent more wisely.

I would love to see the bridge open again, but the question is who's going to pay for it, BFMA and the Borough need to come to an agreement on the liabilty of the damage and you also need to evaluate the cost to repair.
