Being at the new pool this year wasn't as exciting as it should have been. It's like having thanksgiving and not inviting Grandpa. I thought it was his wish to walk away. Knowing that he still wants to be there is heartbreaking.

Mr. Ellis is Scott pool!! Without him it would not be the same!! My dad has been in the military for 37 Years and when he came home from desert storm they played Lee Greenwood "God Bless The USA" when he found out what it meant to us he made sure for years that it was played during the 4th fireworks. My dad passed this year and you better believe I'll be at Scott park this coming 4th to hear my song and visit Mr.Ellis!!

We are better than this. Having grown up in the city and moving to Scott as an adult, I had heard about Mr. Ellis before we moved in the area. He is a legion and what keeps the pool as well known as it is.

Just let Mr. Ellis work at the pool until he passes on and then name it Fred Ellis Pool at Scott Park. Paint a mural of his face at the bottom of the pool. Erect a statue out front or right next to the pool or on the balcony overlooking the pool. Don't let what happen to Harambe happen to Mr. Ellis.

Mr. Ellis was my gym teacher in school and loved seeing him at the pool each summer when I went. He's such a great guy and it would be a shame to see him go. Please keep Mr. Ellis.

Mr Ellis is as much apart of my childhood as the pool itself. Every time you hear Scott pool you think of him. This is sad for a man who dedicated his life to this community..

Thanks for your many years of service but see ya!! This is a disgrace. This man dedicated his life to this pool. I will never go their again if they do this!

How could Scott Pool even consider not having Mr. Ellis there! Scott Pool without Mr. Ellis isn't Scott Pool.

Mr. Ellis is the voice of Scott Pool ... has been since it opened. We listened to his voice as kids and our kids listened as well. Please keep this legacy, and Mr. Ellis at the pool until he's ready to retire. He's the Dick Clark of Scott Township. Thanks.

I'm sorry but how is this even a consideration! As a lifeguard of a 6 years at Scott Pool and a patron every summer since I was born this hurts greatly to see that this was even a thought. Put politics and money aside and do something good for the community. Mr. Ellis is a Scott Pool icon and he should not be removed from this position. I would be completely disheartened if he were.

You have a beautiful new complex. 2 generations at least have grown up with Mr Ellis. He IS Scott Pool.
