I'd rather have a safe zone than a "quiet zone". If you live in the city, there are no quiet zones. It's absurd that we have to petition such a thing.

I grew up in a small town in AL, where there are many crossings with no signal or guard rails. If you've ever seen a car (and person within) demolished by a train, you'll vote to keep the horn. In reality, it's a small price to pay to keep our community safe.

I have lived in LA, Detroit, Denver, and Nashville twice. The train horn is my favorite sound in the entire world and one of the reasons I love to live here! It's absolutely beautiful and unique to Nashville.
