It's unsafe to remove the horn for the preposterous "quite zone " I live right in front of the train tracks on riverside and I'm not bothered by it. It's a waste of tax payer money.

I sign this petition in honor of Fisk Jubilee Singers, the artists who inspired the name "Music City" and the authors of the Gospel standard "The Gospel Train". Don't get rid of the train sounds. Don't erase the character and history of Nashville.
The gospel train is coming,
I hear it just at hand,
I hear the car wheels moving,
And rumbling thro' the land.
Get on board, children,
Get on board, children,
Get on board, children,
For there's room for many a more.

I'm sick of the suburban-ification of East Nashville. Newcomers who want bland placidity in their neighborhood should ooze back to the wealthy suburbs they came from.

Train horns are for safety not novelty or vanity, even if you don't like the horns get some ear plugs or move to another part of town where there are no horns. It's honestly really stupid of people to move here and not consider their surroundings when choosing a house. Horns are necessary to help ensure everyone's safety, I don't think this person's minor inconvience is worth $1.5 million dollars.

Horns are usually a good idea to warn folks of oncoming trains. Just saying.

Absolutely against silencing train horns, it is unsafe. Additional signals and gates should also be required.

If they don't like the trains move back home instead of wasting more tax payer money to make things nicer for yourself.

I've lived here for over 20 years and grew up within 100 yards of the tracks, horn blowing and all. I love them and desire to keep the trains the same as they have always been.

Everytime I hear the train whistle, I hope it's a tornado so that it will take me away to a far and distant land... like Knoxville or something.
