The city has already ruined the area along Pretty Lake with all the high rise apartments and structures so let’s leave a green space for Ocean View and East Beach to enjoy gathering for the Farmer’s Market and other community based activities.

We saved green space by petition at Bay Oaks park, and look how wonderful that space is. Please save this area for the community market

I have lived in EB since 2005 and watched the Developers continually ruin what was advertised as the future; they don’t live here and they don’t care!

We give up another pool and fitness center but I believe green space is the right answer. Perhaps the Developers could compromise and build us a revenue producing all-season 50m lap pool for resident fitness and community swim events and forego the housing for green-space. Just a thought for year-a-round fitness.

Thank you for standing up for the incredible work you put forth in the original concept, I agree wholeheartedly with your assessment and urge the entire community to take a look at the initial plan and embrace the “New Urbanism” that was foreseen with open space as well as mixed use !!!

There is very little green space set aside in East Beach and in Ocean View. High rise buildings have
been unfortunately approved along the waterfront, so no one except owners have access. This is the only green space left. Please save this green space for future generations.

Request keep the green space for East Beach and open air market. We do not need more congestion and the citizens need to enjoy the open space.

I was involved with the original development team and went to many meetings with town planners from all over requiring green space for use of community. Look at Norfolk’s Pinewell neighborhood by the golf course, Charleston and Rosemary Beach and Seaside Florida. They are all examples. Keep the green space. East Brach looks over developed.

This place is fantastic for the East Beach Farmers Market. It is the highlight of my weekend to be able to go and get local produce.
