I love seeing the development of Ocean View, but we have to draw the line. Please keep this green space!

One of my favorite summer activities is visiting east beach farmers market. I would be really sad if the space were turned into townhomes. #keepthetrianglegreen

Please do not develop this area!!! All green spaces don’t need to be developed and this one in particular is such a great community gathering area. And above all, the farmer’s market is perfect for this area!!!

Ocean View and East Beach are turning into UGLY concrete locations. Pls save what little bit of green we have left. We already have apartments, condos and townhouses sitting directly on sidewalks.

Speaking as an East Beach Vendor, I Strongly Agree with Keeping the Green Space for Farm Market use. This is the birthplace of numerous Local Businesses. There was a mission proposed by the City of Norfolk, itself, called OPEN NORFOLK that was created for these very people, who some of which solely obtain income from this type of livelihood, during the pandemic that occurred in 2020. I thought it was an amazing deed done by Norfolk, during that time - that kept us small business owners, who are just starting out, forming Proofs of Concepts and do not yet have the luxury of owning a brick and mortar...yet. Not only is East Beach Farmers Market a wonderful Green Location for Vendors to sell and prove their wares, but I do also know that the wonderful community of East Beach residents look forward to this every Saturday morning. We as Vendors stand on this Green in all of the conditions: wind, rain, heat, freezing cold - just to have the opportunity to provide Local Products - and this right here is part of what makes Norfolk a great destination City and a great one in which to reside. Please consider this plea to not remove the Green from so many people. Thank You.

Keep it green and open to use by the farmers market and other events. We do not need more houses/townhouses in this space!
