I believe TLC is making the wrong choice. People are overreacting about something that happened 12 years ago. At the time this happened, Josh and his parents went to the police. He owned up to what he did and no charges were filed against him. By pulling the show, you are saying that people cannot change. This is a horrible injustice to Josh and the Duggars. I believe that TLC should keep the Duggars on. They are honest, loving, forgiving and everyday working family, They have shared their faith and demonstrated their deep conviction to the Lord. While I am saddened about this I also know that as teenagers our minds, bodies and whole world is changing so rapidly that we often make very bad choices. The Duggars did the right thing and got Josh and the victims the help they needed. Josh is not denying or skirting around anything. The family has always said they are not perfect. They praise God in the good times and in the bad times and have demonstrated this endless times. They opened themselves up to us and have shared the good and the bad with us as well as given us a first hand look at morals, values and accountability. The fact that Michelle and Jimbob are the ones who took Josh to the police and made him confess says more then words because many parents would have just told their kids not to tell and never have made them face their actions head on.

I am fully supportive of The Duggars show. Michelle and Jim Bob have done the best that they can to raise their kids in a Godly manner. I am not a huge fan of the duggars politics or creationism views. I am not a fan of their views on tolerance of different lifestyle choices either. However, I do not think the program should be pulled off the air because of one family member, no matter how aggregious the crime. If it comes to light, in the course of events, a crime was committed when Josh was an adult I would have a different view. There is a reason we distinguish between adult and juveniles. So, what this tells me is that in any family this had happened to, the whole family including the victims, should be punished anytime years later. And that if they don't tell the public, they are going to be ruined publicly, even though it's not the publics business. I don't understand why you canceled this show. I know that I am not that old but I still think that they are a great example for anyone at any age. Sex is part of being a human being. When we are young we really rarely know how to handle our urges. Many children have been where Josh ended up. That does not make them evil, just confused. The Duggars can be proud that Josh came to them and told them. Most children keep this stuff secret. Then it festers and thats when real problems happen. TLC if you are smart you will use this to open up a dialogue we as Americans need to have. We rush to criminalize human behaviors way too fast. People say they are hypocrits but they cant be hypocritical for actions that werent their own, and Josh was 15, he admits he acted inexcusably and that he deeply regrets this. His parents sought and paid for counsel for everyone affected by his bad choices. What would today's world do...stone him? What shows the quality of a great show for kids. My 9 year old daughter has watched this show for years. This show shows moral values, team work between family members, community service and keeping your self for marriage.

I have watched the Duggars since their very first TLC Special in 2004. These allegations shouldn't even be public knowledge as they happened when Josh was 14 (they also happened before the first special was even made!). What he did was very wrong, but it was dealt with. The Duggar Family is a great family to watch and learn from. Josh was underage and this should not be made public, the family dealt with it, and look at his life now. He is a great citizen and father. Honey Boo Boo's mother as an adult dated the man convicted of raping her daughter.

As a victim of sexual abuse, I think it was wrong for them to release information on a privet matter that was dealt with. Josh has grown up and became a great husband and father. This should not have became public, family issues are just that.

As a rape victim in my teens, I feel there was no maliciousness in what Josh did as a TEENAGER. The family did not explain sexual incounters to the children and so they were immature in that area. EVERY single one of you have made a mistake in your youth that you would not be happy if it got out. Every family has that "skeleton in the closet" ... why are you all lenching this family? I'll tell you why,... because it's the PC thing to do? Or because your friends are doing it? Well I hope this show comes back on as I'm my own person and realize I'm not perfect, and neither is this family... but they're better then alot of families out there. I love seeing all if the Duggars on TLC and the mistakes made by Josh as a teenager are in the past . I find it so offensive that people have tried to call him a rapist and a pedophile how ridiculous and offensive to his sisters and family . There are people saying the parents handled it badly .... What else could they do , they sent him away they asked him to confess to the police and he did . No one would have ever known if he as a 14 year old did not go to his parents and admit what he had done . The parents got counselling for all the children . It is extreme to say they didn't do there best for Josh , his behaviour has exhibited nothing but a complete turn around to a responsible adult and loving husband / father . I'm appalled by the media coverage of something that should never have been up for public scrutiny . The media is always looking for a scandal and to bring people down it is a shame society thinks it's acceptable to harass him and his family for a childhood mistake .

If this show is cancelled because of so called controversy then I believe there are many others that fall into that category. I love the fact that there is finally a show that shows the reality of how a loving family goes through these kind of difficult situations. I personally have seen this kind of scenario played out in many homes but no one wants to talk about it. I believe that the Duggars did an amazing job in confronting this situation and feel it would be devastating to cancel this show for political reasons. TV is all about controversy, but this show demonstrates how to handle it well. Please don't get rid of this show.

I'm from a family of 21 children - all ages 18 to fifty-five now. We lived a few tough lean depression years, through a series of - and learned/lived/survived a lot though the many extended families numbering in the hundreds now. So, my reaction to removing the Duggar family show is that TLC, the product advertisers, and the media should not be condemning the entire Duggar family... Yes, something bad happened many years ago, by a young boy which was handled properly by his family and as any family would do. But, to stone an entire family, no! I don't agree to the careless treatment of the Duggar family show. Taking the show off the air is inexcusable to me, because so many people love following the events and activities of the Duggar family. Shame on you for stoning the entire Duggar family!!! Put that lovable show back on the air and let the people decide by watching or not watching.

This conflict just proves how un-Godly our world is today, that people would react in such a hateful manner. I was looking for something for about 40 years, I didn't know what it was until I flipped to TLC and watched this incredible family. They showed me I was missing love. Love for God love for family. I think a loving family by blood is not going to be a part of my life. But I have you! The Duggars! I wish I would've been brought up in a church family. My past, present, and future would be so different. So positive. Anyhow, please keep this wonderful family in our lives. I've saved some episodes that I watch and I laugh, or cry but they always give me a sense of peace and happiness. That's something that doesn't happen with the meds my doctors give me. The Duggars give me hope, after 40 years, that I could have a life too. God Bless

I'd like to see one - just one - family who has not had problems with one of their children. It's ok for us to watch and accept Modern Family and other gay-oriented programs aired by national networks but we can't see 19 kids because one of their boys made a mistake?
