Petition to keep the Pre K Program at Duff Elementary and to keep Mrs. Roz Keeper as the pre k teacher and Ms. Pam Derden as Teachers assistant.
We agree that it is important to keep the Pre K program at Duff Elementary because
1. The time commitment to take our children to Dunn is too much, especially having older children at Duff.
2. Dunn is a lower ranked school and we choose to live in this neighborhood for a reason, for Duff.
3. For those who pay to attend Prek are willing to pay for Duff, no other pre k program.
4. There is no one better than our current prek teachers and what they bring to our school as a whole.
5. Making changes this far into the year could be detrimental to the children.

I was just staring at the screen and realized we hit two hundred fifty signatures which is actually insane because this whole thing started as just a frantic thought while I was trying to get dinner ready. This really shows how much we all care about keeping Mrs. Roz and Ms. Pam right where they belong at Duff because honestly who else would do it better.

I have enjoyed seeing the growth these young students make in Mrs. Keeper's class. Mrs. Keeper and Mrs. Derden are gifted when working with our youngest scholars. The students self-confidence soars and their communication skills shine. They are ready when they enter kindergarten.
Since America is all for education - why would a school board want to move tomorrow's children to a lower ranked school to receive an education.
The prek program at duff is really convenient to many. It can be such a hassle for families with multiple children to have to get their children when the kids attend separate schools. The teachers that run this program are amazing and two of my 3 kids were incredibly fortunate to have had them.
I am an alum of Duff Elementary who participated in the Pre K Program. This was one of the only programs my parents could put me in due to financial restraints. My educational experience would have been delayed it is wasn't for the Pre K program at Duff.
I'm a bit appalled at the notion of closing this program after the school year has already begun! As foster parents who have utilized this program in the past, a change like this, on top of everything else going on with these kiddos, can be truly detrimental to their social, emotional, and academic development.
Please keep Duff Elementary Pre-K program. Asking families & kids to move to another school, with less credentials is not right!

I need this program to stay at Duff for my daughter next year. Not only is is more convient since I work there but I also have known the teachers there for many years and they are both the most caring, passionate, wonderful people.
