The battle was not over slavery but money.
So many American lives lost. This battle flag represents a historic period in the formation of the greatest nation the world has ever seen.
The P C groups have gone crazy and once again this nation is being divided.

The battle flag is not the problem. The problem is the people that will take something that has no meaning but history and turn it into a racist issue. You could do the same thing with the cross. It can be a visual statement of ones faith or a visual of hate. All depends on who is carrying it and for what purpose. Should the radicals ban the cross? Some already want to ban the US flag. Where does it stop?????

Political correctness has gone to far when it determines what individuals can watch, wear, display, etc. Take the confederate flag off of government buildings, but leave General Lee alone.

I have never been a racist never raised my kids to racists and we all watched the Dukes of Hazard and enjoyed the show. The Confederate Flag is only considered racist by those who like cause issues where there are none. I will not buy anything concerning the Dukes of Hazard if it is not of the original show...

The flag doesn't mean racism. It's a heritage. I grew up watching the Duke's of Hazzard all my life. And no one not even the government will stop me from getting a General Lee with the flag on it.

Keep the flag on the General Lee! The Dukes of Hazzard is one of the few shows from my childhood that my boys also love. We enjoy the show as a family. It's obvious that there is no negative racial message on the show. And the car and its paint scheme definitely does not discriminate against anyone!
