This petition is on the behalf of all community members who will be affected by the recently announced closure of theCrechefacility at Waves Fitness & Aquatic Centre.

This facility is a very important part of the overall Centre and its members’ lives inboth enabling andsupporting their participation in healthy living andgreater community spirit. It benefits thenumerousparents who attend the gym, swim in the pool, and both the parents and grandparents of children in the swim school. It also supports thechildrens’ development as they interact and play during their time there.

The Hills Shire is renowned for being a family-friendlyshire,andassuch, it is home to many young familieswho withouttheCrechewould be severely limitedif not entirely disabled in being able to attend the Centre andutiliseits’ other services.We’d all like to see Waves continue to be family-friendly.
