More Americans died in the Civil War than all the other American wars combined, so are we going to forget the dead. Stop being one sided no one has slaves now.

My comments on this are i may not be from Mississippi but i thaink the people who are from there should be allowed to keep. There flag i thaink it is absolutely stoupid that people are trying to get rid of the flag and say its racist give me a break just because we use to have the kkk and they used it does not make the flag racist and other people who are not kkk use the flag. So is the flag racist no it just depends on what its used for but the people who are voting to get it removed dont want to mention that you know what i thaink the hell with them and let missippi keep there flag and im from the midwest and im saying that not everything is racist.

Taking down the Confederate flag has nothing to do with racism. It is just a part of a global agenda to get ride of all flags but the UN flag.

This flag represents a large part of American history, but this country has gotten out of hand lately and is no longer what is used to be

This is a battle flag. It was disgraced by the use of hate groups. The vast majority of Confederate soldiers did not own slaves. The vast majority of slave owners did not fight. Two of my great great grandfathers served in the Grand Army of the Republic. One, a private in the 83rd New York, was twice wounded in the “Cornfields” at Antietam. His left arm was amputated on the battlefield without anesthesia. The other, a Brevet Major General, a fourth generation British Army officer, served with the 4th Regiment Michigan Volunteer Cavalry. He accepted the surrender of Jefferson Davis. Davis gave him his pistol. Keep the Confederate Battle Flag flying over the historic battlefields, museums, cemeteries and any other appropriate forums.

Even though I'm Canadian. I still show support for the flag. It's part of history. You can't erase it even though you'd like to think you can. It was also flown at Gettysburg .

The flag is a part of history and generations to come need to see it and feel the power from it. Many men fought and died for what they believed for that flag. Leave our flag fly high.

The confederate flag is a part of our history and culture. To have it removed would be equivalent to tearing down the white house.
