Our flag should fly. It's all about history not being racist. We know why S.C. govern took it down, to have her name in the spotlight and the History books. There are statues of black people put up but the confederate flag and everything else of history is said needs to be put in a museum. No they want to destroy and do away with part of our History.

It has nothing to do with racism it is freedom is this not what all Americans want the reason millions come here to practice our freedom to be what we want to be to have what we want to have to fight for what we believe in!! Freedom has cost our country a lot!! And freedom does not come free. So as we allow the Muslims to practice their religion as the Catholics Hail Mary as the Jewish eat Kosher we should be able to fly the confederate flag as we please because it's our right as free people.!

everybody wants to talk about our flag. but how about the black panthers flag and calling white people honkeys but if we use the n word we all racist. the flag stands for or right to freedom and the right to be free and do as we wish. now the government is trying to take or freedom and rights away from us. they need to go read the bill of rights again and take what it says to heart. if its not or flag they want its our guns then. I was born here and ill die here fighting for mine and my kids rights and don't care what the government says. but like I always say the south will raise again. and if you look at the flags they both or the same colors so whats the big deal.

As part of the history of the great state of South Carolina the Confederate battle flag should continue to fly. This flag is a reminder of the bravery and tenacity of those who fought for the freedom of it's citizens against the invading north and should remain visible in order to act as a reminder of sovereignty all states, and hence their people enjoy above the power of the federal government.

The rebel flag is not only South Carolina's Heritage......it is part of the heritage of the United States of America.......soldiers die in wars defending ,fighting for rights of freedom and against tyranny and the beginning of the thirteen states of America.........you allow people to take down the rebel flag, redid the thirteen colony flag then....we are headed toward a crumbling world where people are trying to erase the heritage of the United States of America.........If the American people allow this to happen the American flag will be next to go ....someone will decide it also has to go.....Do not let people take America from you ....families have died for the freedom you enjoy ...don't disgrace what they gave up their lives for a better place.

If people would read their history books, the civil war was not started over slavery. If we have to get rid of the flag, then we should get rid of the slave auction place in S.C. that is a historical site. You can't undo history.
