This is our Monument, not Mayor Walsh's. It is our ancestors' Monument, not the vagabonds' that yell and scream to take it down. It is our children's Monument that we want to pass on to them.

Accredited with finding a sailing route to help expand trade routes. Would be considered having the courage and bravery of an astronaut in todays time. Quite an accomplishment for anyone.

I want to know who’s tax money paid for the statute to being with who’s tax money maintains it yearly I also want to discuss the fact that this a historical part of Syracuse also due to that the statue should remain. Lastly if this is taken down I would gladly take it and place on my front lawn

There are far too many people who are much too quick to judge without researching and learning the truth about this amazing man. Those who choose to tarnish the man's reputation will be in for an "awakening " once they learn the true facts about Christopher Columbus.

Bovadilla was an enemy to Christopher Columbus, and falsely accused him of many things, (things that were done in his absence) and robbed him of his wealth.
