I'm a 4th generation Italian and Native American born and raised in Syracuse and this statue means more to me and others like me than some hateful groups or politicians dubious agendas.

I consider how long the monument has already been there. Has it been so wrong all these years to have it there. I believe that it should stay.

Why whenever the minorities complain about something those in politics jump through hoops? The native Americans complain because supposedly Columbus did not treat them correctly(according to todays rules). Since the native Americans “owned” all the land around here and other places I guess we should just give them our homes and all because according to them we are on their land. When does this stop!!

Please stop changing OUR COUNTRY and rewriting history to be PC. Leave them alone it has been there since 1934. Start doing something in Syracuse that’s positive make sure the elderly are,taken care of try to get people working stop going backwards use your time positively. There is so much more you could do for the homeless. Leave the statues you wasting our time and money!
