As a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 254, Fulton, NY, I believe it is necessary to keep the monument to save our history. Those wanting to present another view can go about asking permission to build their statue in the park!

We all agree what the Europeans of that time had done. But that is separate from why Columbus is celebrated.

I suggest adding a bronze QR Code that would point to an unbiased data that included good bad, but also add history of the island so that people learn about the various indigenous people. (We know the caribs were cannibals)

There are more important things to worry about. Destruction of artifacts is what the Nazis were good at. There is nothing productive or good about destroying property. These people need to direct this energy to a better cause.

No way, no how !!! It's part of History... a study of the past . 2020-1934 = 86 years ago. Leave it standing , it was paid for by contributions !!!
