I spoke with a Universal representative… they said it ws NOT THEIR descision and they have nothing to do with the ramp cloisuret! . I can agree it probably wasn’t Universal’s descision but to put the entire onus on CALTRANS…is incredibly misleading and deceptive, as if the Universal expansion project has no impact. This is pure insanity! Tom La Bonge our councilman is no longer in office or representing our district, so to make sure he is in good stead with the big players… his last hurrah was for Universal!. Universal showed their appreciation with an impressive farewell event for Tom La Bonge. Can you say politics?

I use this exit regularly to get from Burbank to Hollywood. Please do not make such a drastic change!

I lived for 6 years just off of Lake Hollywood Dr. I used that offramp daily. That was several years ago. Now, the traffic has increased quite a bit. The commute into Burbank will be completely destroyed if that offramp is closed. Bottleneck traffic will come from Highland, as well as people trying to backtrack from Lankershim. You will be causing an embolism by blocking a MAJOR traffic artery into the busy business section of Burbank that depend on Barham as their pathway into the valley. BAD, BAD MOVE.

This city has already elected to ignore locals by closing throughways during Hollywood Bowl performances and permitting new residential developments on an already heavily congested section of the Cahuenga Pass. One hopes locals can at least avoid Traffic on Ventura by exiting the freeway closer to their homes.

This will cause more headache to an already congested area, these plans need to be stopped

You will cut off entire neighbourhoods as well cities by closing this exit. Not fair

Thus exit ramp is a STAPLE for Angelenos! Universal Studios already has the Lankershim and Cahuenga exits. Barham should remain for locals and others who can easily get lost going to and from Burbank, NoHo, Hollywood, and even Glendale.

as someone who lived on Franklin Ave for 3 years, this exit was a godsend for me to avoid traffic, especially during the Bowl. I cannot imagine what traffic will look like without it!

DO NOT CLOSE the S/B 101 Barham OFF RAMP access to Barham and the Cahuenga Pass is difficult enough. Permanent closure would seriously impact on the quality of life for local residents and could force businesses to close, people to move out of what is a very good part of the city of Los Angeles. I'm all for Universal expanding a tourist attraction however not closing a ramp on a very major thoroughfare between the valley and downtown. Also think of the response times by LAFD, LACOFD, LAPD and CHP would be severely impacted with the proposed closure potentially putting lives at risk.
