I did not know about the closure. the first I heard about this was the week of 11/7. I don't know why the major attractions are able to obtain approvals for their huge projects without implementing major modifications to positively impact the traffic congestion. Why was there no specific public comment period specifically around the Barham Exit closure. It was allowed to be buried inside an EIR for the Universal project documents. And, the folks that developed the Draft EIR didn't even use the Exit name. Cal Trans should be called to task and prepare a public comment period.

PLEASE do not close this off ramp. What is the point? It will greatly impact traffic on Ventura and the 101! It will not hurt to have the off-ramp and many people that live close by will have to find alternate routes and sit in traffic for long periods of time.

I don't like the deception of this ill-conceived plan.

I live in the downtown Burbank area and work in the Wilshire / La Brea Corridor. The Barham Pass area is the only direct route to / from work for me. Shutting down either or both of the exits or on ramps would turn my already tiring commute into a nightmare. Please put an end to this stupidity.

As a resident of the Upper Outpost area this ramp is absolutely essential for the flow of traffic and for access to our homes. What is proposed will have a deleterious effect on the value of many of the homes in the area. And, the way this was so sneakily shoved through without informing local residents who will be affected smacks of payoff!

How are firetrucks from local 76 station supposed to handle this? Having participated in discussions concerning the initial DEIR and EIR, I remember no public comment on this crucial issue. One what grounds does this qualify as an addendum to an EIR?

The increasingly frustrating traffic snarls occurring in and around Barham Blvd. will only be exacerbated by closing the Barham Blvd. freeway off ramp. Imagine funnelling even more traffic through the Highland Blvd. exit during a Hollywood Bowl show. There is no support for this from any residents or businesses in the area.

Local businesses will shut down and traffic will be even worse than it already is. Please consider OTHERS that are in the area.

Closing the Barham exit will be a detriment to the greater Hollywood hills area. As traffic increases, it will resultased In decreased qualily of life, decreased property values, and general unhappiness for tourists and locals.

I don't understand how closing the ramp helps the community. I suppose that this is what we get when our elected officials don't actually have to answer to us since there is never any credible opposition.

This is a horrible mistake. There are too many commuters who depend on the Barham exits of the 101. Closing the exit will result in major traffic delays especial for those who live and work in the area. Please reconsider this decision.

I unequivocally agree that closing the Barham offramp is a bad idea and that the decision was made to serve one-sided interest and without community input.
