Somehow this closure was done without any attempt to gain community input.

I use this off ramp all the time. Why on earth does it need to be closed to expand Universal?

Once again our system of government and our politicians are creating one (larger) problem in order to "solve" a different one. In this case, the problem they create is for any residents or drivers in the area (and there are many of us and many people who use Barham daily to get to their jobs even if they are not residents). The problem that they solve is for a giant and profitable company that has more means than the city itself. And here they are ganging up on us. Way to stand up for the little guy. I am all for progress and jobs but the appropriate impact study and the appropriate discussion with the community has not occurred here. This is a flawed process and a flawed solution and we are being steamrolled quite literally. The real problem is traffic in the area and it is not how to direct traffic to the ticket windows at Universal. Why are we discussing how to get more people to Universal? Should we save the once a year visitor three minutes getting to the ticket window or Universal parking lots? At what cost to the rest of us that live here all year and use this offramp multiple times per day. If we fixed the traffic in the area in general it wouldn't be an issue. There must be another solution, but this is the "easy" one. There are real costs to traffic including wasted time and lower real estate values. Is it time to move? There is NO justification to disrupt our daily life by closing this onramp. We are going the wrong direction here. We should be talking about connecting the 101 N to the 134E. Universal should be paying for it if they want to extract other concessions from the neighborhood. A few free parking passes won't erase the memory of this corporate takeover of my neighborhood. I will do my best to get rid of any politician that is tied in to helping Universal on this even if Universal funds their next campaign.

This change will also directly effect traffic on the freeway as more cars lineup to exit on Lankershim.

this will create a lot of problems for our community as well as create bottlenecks at the other offramps

I am an old time Hollywood resident, since 1970! This is so necessary to keep traffic flowing properly!

This closure makes zero sense to me. It will help no one and hurt everyone.

I use this ramp everyday, multiple times to get to and from my house.
